We’re starting to get into the time of the year when gun manufacturers start to release guns like it’s their job. Already, we’ve had some great announcements from the likes of Kimber, Diamondback, and others.
Over the weekend, there were two new guns announced. Let’s take a quick look at each one.
Springfield Armory SA 35
Several days ago on Springfield’s social media pages an image was teased. The image showed a lot of different things, but most notably in it was a picture of John Moses Browning and several of his achievements.
John Browning was the gifted gun maker who brought us firearms that we still use both for personal defense and in war (M2).
The other notable thing in the picture was a clock that was stuck on 1935. 1935 is the year the work was completed on the Browning Hi-Power pistol. Sadly, Browning died before it was actually finished.
The SA-35 is based on that pistol, with some upgrades. For example, Springfield says that there is a factory tuned trigger, an improved feed ramp design, and increased capacity of 15+1.
MSRP on this pistol is reportedly $699, and from the pictures the gun looks great.

Mossberg MC2sc

A couple of years ago Mossberg surprised everyone by releasing their first pistol in 100 years. The famous shotgun maker stepped right out of their comfort zone to grab another slice of the ever growing pie.
Over the weekend, Mossberg has released their third pistol in the MC lineup, which is meant to compete with the other high capacity micro compact pistols like the Springfield Armory Hellcat and the SIG Sauer P365.
The MC2sc comes with 11+1 and 14+1 magazines and features a 3.4″ barrel. MSRP is different depending on the model you get, but the base price is $556.
Conclusion:
Stay tuned for more, because we are just getting started with the new guns being released. More will be coming over the next several weeks, leading up to SHOT Show 2022 which is hopefully still happening.
