The high capacity micro 9 market has been seeing a lot of growth lately, and now Taurus has jumped on the bandwagon.
Taurus just announced the release of the GX4, which promises to be a lower cost alternative to those guns already out in the market, like the SIG 365, the Springfield Armory Hellcat, the S&W Shield Plus, and the Ruger Max 9.
The MSRP on this little pistol is set to be $392, with an in store price probably lower than that.
The pistol looks like it has some upgrades over the old standard guns like a flat trigger with a blade safety, front cocking serrations, Mec Gar magazines, and a nice texturing. It also has a steel guide rod, which is an improvement over previous pistols.
As of right now there is not an option for a red dot mount, but that will hopefully change at some point in the near future.
I have not had a chance to put my hands on one just yet, but I’ll do my best to get one.
