Smith & Wesson has been taunting the release of a new pistol hitting the market on Election Day for a couple weeks. Today, Election Day, the pistol was officially released as the Equalizer.
The Equalizer is the newest in their lineup of EZ concealed carry pistols, and is meant to be a lighter recoiling, 9mm Luger with 10, 13, and 15 round capacity magazines.
MSRP on this latest high capacity micro carry gun is $599, and by the looks of it there are very pronounced front and rear slide serrations to help those with weaker hands manipulate it, along with, reportedly, an “easy-to-rack technology.”
Other features are as follows:
- Slide cut for optic
- Single action trigger with short take up
- New grip texture
- 3.675″ barrel
- Optional thumb safety
- Pic rail for accessories
- Maglua UpLula mag loader
One of the best things, in my opinion, is that this pistol ships with three magazines. A 10, a 13, and a 15 rounder. It seems like this is becoming commonplace, and I’ve always said that gun makers should give you at least three mags.
Stay tuned for more new gun releases as we approach SHOT Show 2023.
