We caught up with Frank Desomma from Patriot Ordinance Factory (POF) at SHOT Show 2020 who was happy to show us around the new POF Rebel 22. The Rebel is a 22 LR chambered pistol with a 1:16 twist and eight inch barrel that features their own plastic injected lower receiver that accepts Ruger 10/22 magazines.
The gun is capable of running either standard or subsonic 22lr ammunition, and comes complete with a threaded barrel if you want the option to suppress it.
While this isn’t an AR-15 pattern gun, it has an AR-15 trigger group and controls meaning that you can modify the trigger to your heart’s content, and are more than familiar with how the firearm works.
Also included on this little pistol, is MFT furniture to include a pistol brace and grip.
The foregrip is M-LOK and seems to be integrated into the one piece upper receiver so you can add your goods to it, and the upper receiver is a side charger, instead of the traditional AR-15 style.
Since the lower receiver is a plastic injection molded part, the gun is very lightweight at only 3.3 pounds. This pistol is currently available and has an MSRP of $649.
